Welcome to Australia's Daintree and Cape Tribulation, home of the oldest tropical rainforest on earth and the only place on the planet where World Heritage-listed Daintree rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef.

Easy to find but hard to leave, the Daintree rainforest is 100 kilometres north of Cairns or 45 kilometres north of Port Douglas Australia.  There are numberous Daintree hotels, accommodation and Daintree rainforest tour options for you to experience and enjoy. Across the Daintree River, Cape Tribulation is a scenic 38 kilometre drive further north from the Daintree and also offers an exciting choice of eco accommodation, Cape Tribulation hotels and rainforest tours.

The Daintree River ferry provides southern access into the Daintree rainforest and the sealed road from Daintree to Cape Tribulation allows you to gently journey amongst 135 million year old rainforest through the lush Alexandra Range, to spectacular lookout points and glorious tropical beaches of this ancient land.
