We offer two pole framed, high set timber cottages adjacent to the creek, built to enable cooling breezes from the forest. Each cottage has a verandah, ensuite, and a queen size bed and a folding double futon bed.
Breakfast is a sumptuous repast. We serve a two course breakfast to our guests on their own verandah. There is always exotic fruit on the menu and the menu is based around fresh farm produce, including fresh eggs. An omelette made from fresh eggs is sensational.
As there is no grid power in the area, we must provide our own power, and the property depends on solar panels, a 24 volt battery and a generator back up.
Part of our property is included within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, and there is a self-guided walking trail through our rainforest.
We offer a personalized experience, as hosts who know the area and have lived here for 18 years. There is a lot to see and do, and this is a great place to relax. The property is one kilometre from the beach at Cape Tribulation and the Great Barrier Reef is 45 minutes offshore.
