http://www.billytea.com.au/tours/daintree-rainforest-cape-tribulation This tour operates every day except Christmas Day Your day begins with our friendly Billy Tea Safaris naturalist guide picking you up from your accommodation and after meeting fellow passengers you then make your way up past the Northern Beaches, Port Douglas, enroute to the spectacular ancient World Heritage rainforest that you have probably heard so much about. You will be treated to amazing views of rainforest mountain ranges meeting azure waters of the Coral Sea along the way.
First Stop is at the Majestic Daintree River where you will enjoy Morning Tea before boarding the river boat for a cruise on this wonderful river were you will see prehistoric Estuarine Crocodiles, amazing bird life, and even pythons in the trees. This will give you firsthand experience of this unique eco-system of mangroves and rainforest living side by side.
We now head up over the Alexandra Range weaving our way through ancient rainforest to be treated to spectacular views of the Daintree River system meeting the Coral Sea. The grand scale of this river is amazing and we learn that the average rainfall is measured in metres. Your guide will share his vast knowledge of this world heritage listed area, as you take a guided walk along the National Park elevated board walk with your Billy Tea guide and hopefully you may get a glimpse of Australia's largest flightless bird the elusive Southern Cassowary.
Along the way you will be treated to seeing other rainforest inhabitants such as Boyd's Forest Dragons, Rare Migratory Buff Breasted Paradise Kingfishers and other amazing flora and fauna, all whilst getting an insight into the Aboriginal history and culture of the area and significance of this ancient rainforest.

By now you've worked up an appetite and it is time to be treated to a gourmet BBQ lunch in a magical rainforest setting, and have an opportunity to hand feed kangaroos at Lync Haven Animal Sanctuary.
After a great lunch, it's back into your comfortable Billy Tea Safaris custom built 4WD as you work your way into the heart of the Daintree Cape Tribulation Rainforest. You will see 400 year old giant King Ferns and prehistoric plants that are found nowhere else in the world. The high clearance of the custom built 4WD's provide us with great views and allow us to easily traverse the creek crossing as you travel along the first 14klms of the mighty 4WD Bloomfield Track, we were stop at Emaagen Creek, the best kept secret rainforest jewel. We are the only operator that goes here.
You can enjoy a private rainforest setting, with a sparkling crystal clear freshwater mountain stream where you can enjoy a swim under the canopy of the rainforest, a cup of traditional Billy Tea and Australian Damper and a selection of local exotic fruits. Admire the Jungle Perch fish, turtles swimming and listening to the symphony of birds.
We now start to make our way back to Cairns stopping at the famous Cape Tribulation Beach to take a stroll along the pristine white sandy beach & to see where the Rainforest meets the reef, and learn how this amazing place got its name from the early explorer Captain James Cook. To top off a wonderful day, we had a special treat of homemade exotic fruit ice-cream from the Daintree Ice-Creamery, before crossing the Daintree River via Cable Ferry enroute back to Cairns.
