The Port Douglas Markets are held every Sunday at Anzac Park from 8am until 1.30pm. You will find this park at the end of Macrossan Street, filled with an array of stalls containing products that must be made by the stallholder.
Locals travel from across the region to sell their products at this iconic Port Douglas market, as do the locals and tourists alike who come to buy them. You can find an impressive array of products which range from fresh and exotic produce, tropical plants, unique hand made jewellery, paintings, glassware and other artistic items, as well as homemade foods, including locally branded chocolate, coffee and tea! Of course there are the souvenirs that you can’t go past while on holiday and don’t forget to try making your own sugar cane juice or drinking from a coconut!
While you immerse yourself in the locals’ traditional Sunday morning meeting place you will be entertained by artists and performers and will be at risk of being swept away by the magical view of the Coral Sea… so our advice is to ensure your visit to Port Douglas includes a Sunday morning meeting with the Port Douglas Markets.
